How BountyHunt works+

Save a private request describing what you plan to buy. Suitable participating businesses can send comparable offers with price, timing, inclusions and any optional Reward. You decide whether to accept an offer and which business may contact you. If an eligible purchase includes a Reward, it is returned after purchase as a partial refund to the original payment method.

Cash rewards+

You never choose a target Reward. A business may include an optional Reward as conditional post-purchase cashback. You pay that business’s full purchase price. If the accepted conditions are met, the business provides the Reward as a partial refund to the payment method used for the same purchase. It is not an upfront discount, BountyHunt balance or separate cash payout. The offer must show the amount, conditions, evidence deadline and expected timing before you choose.

Pending or failed Reward cashback+

Refund submitted or pending means the business’s partial-refund instruction was sent to the payment provider; it does not mean the cashback is available yet. The provider returns it only to the original payment method, and the buyer’s bank or issuer may take the time shown in the accepted offer to display it. If that window passes or the status is failed, use the protected support route. Do not enter full card numbers, bank credentials or identity documents in the help assistant, and do not pay anyone a fee to release a Reward.

Privacy and contact details+

Businesses see only the purchase facts needed to prepare an offer. Your identity stays hidden while offers compete. After Stripe confirms payment, you can expressly share only your BountyHunt display name and account email with the selected business for 14 days, and you can revoke that access. BountyHunt does not share a phone number or delivery address through this contact-release step.

For businesses+

A business receives a one-time invitation only for a purchase request that matches its services and area. It can review the non-identifying requirements, send one complete offer and choose whether to include a Reward. If the buyer’s selected purchase qualifies, the business provides that Reward as a partial refund against its original customer charge. No separate Reward pre-funding or buyer payout is created, and losing offers should not pay a success fee.

Your account and shopping plans+

Your BountyHunt account keeps your requests, privacy choices and purchase history together. A shopping plan groups connected purchases—such as moving, utilities and cleaning—while letting you choose a different business for each item.

Countries, currencies and availability+

BountyHunt is preparing Australia first while keeping the product ready to expand internationally. A business-offer request can open where the exact Australian region, purchase category, privacy, consumer, outreach and support controls are approved, even before a business is onboarded. BountyHunt then finds suitable businesses; any selected business must pass the current eligibility checks before contact or payment.

Prohibited and restricted purchases+

BountyHunt is for lawful, ordinary purchases. Firearms, weapons, ammunition, explosives, illicit drugs, stolen or counterfeit goods and other dangerous or criminal purchases are never allowed, even where an item might be lawful locally. Regulated categories stay closed until the exact market is approved. A blocked request is not sent to businesses. The Complaints page explains any currently available review and external reporting routes.

Cancel, correct or delete information+

Do not place your name, email address, account details, incident information, identity documents, bank details or card numbers in the help assistant. The Help Centre shows whether protected personal support intake is currently available. The Privacy page explains access, correction and deletion rights and external privacy routes.

Complaints, disputes or suspicious activity+

Stop sharing information and do not send money outside an approved BountyHunt flow. Do not put names, email addresses, account or incident details, passwords, card numbers, banking credentials or identity-document images in the help assistant. The Complaints page shows whether protected support intake is open and lists external routes for Australia, England and the United States.
