Complaints, disputes and safety reports
Use the protected Australian complaint process for an available BountyHunt service.
How to raise a case
- Open the Help button and choose the closest protected topic, including a prohibited purchase or unsafe product report.
- Include a Bounty, offer or support reference and a short factual description.
- Do not attach or paste passwords, verification codes, card numbers, bank credentials or identity documents.
- For immediate danger or crime, contact the appropriate emergency or law-enforcement service rather than waiting for platform support.
Prohibited purchase and safety reports
A reported Bounty, offer or business must be withheld from consequential marketplace actions while an authorised person reviews it. The reviewer records the policy version, decision reason and outcome; urgent threats, exploitation and suspected reportable crimes follow the applicable escalation procedure. A reporter should not investigate, contact the other party or place themselves at risk.
What happens next
The case receives a reference, risk category and immutable audit entry. Payment, privacy, security, legal and account-authority matters cannot be closed by the automated assistant. An authorised person reviews the available records and may request narrowly scoped evidence.
Offer and merchant disputes
BountyHunt can preserve offer versions, consent, purchase evidence, partial-refund events and marketplace messages. It cannot rewrite a merchant’s sale contract or remove non-excludable consumer rights. Disputed Reward eligibility or a pending or failed cashback refund remains in review until the published rules and provider records resolve the status. A good-faith complaint must not itself cancel an otherwise valid Reward.
Privacy and security complaints
Privacy cases go to the privacy owner and suspected data breaches enter the incident-response process. Security reports should describe the affected route and impact without accessing other users’ data or attempting destructive testing.
External options in Australia
People may contact the business, their bank or card provider, law enforcement, a product-safety body, an ombudsman or another regulator where appropriate. BountyHunt must not discourage any lawful external complaint or legal right.
In Australia, relevant routes may include a state or territory fair-trading body, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, or the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner. The correct route depends on the issue and current official guidance. Later markets require separately approved external routes before their service opens.
No retaliation
Making a good-faith complaint must not reduce a buyer’s ability to use legal rights. Fraudulent, abusive or deliberately false reports may be restricted under fair, documented rules.
